Citytv Hosts A One-Day Tasting Extravaganza at the 6th Annual Citytv’s Taste of the City.

Discover the diversity of Vancouver’s culinary culture at Citytv’s Sixth annual Taste of the City -- a one-day tasting extravaganza on Saturday, July 19th, 2008 at the PNE grounds from noon till 8:00 pm.

Admission is free. Patrons simply purchase "Taste Tickets" in .50 cent denominations and can exchange them for sample-size portions of signature menu items from dozens of Vancouver’s diverse restaurants. Items range in price from $1.00 to $4.00.

Restaurants in 2007 included: Ashiana Tandoori, Chutney Villa, Lolita’s, O’Doul’s, Maurya, Sate Satu, Vera’s Burgers, Taco shack, Malaysia Kitchen, Joey's, BC chefs Association, Temptations, Dona Cata Mexican, New India buffet, Figment, Goldilocks Bakery, Nando’s Chicken, Burgers Etc., Brasas Peruvian BBQ, TGI Friday’s and Patisserie Lebeau.

On the CityCooks Main Stage, Simi Sara, from acclaimed Citytv’s "CityCooks" and other Citytv personalities will host a continuous line-up of Vancouver’s most acclaimed chefs who will demonstrate the preparation of their favourite creations.

It’s your chance to savour the city from noon to 8 pm at the Pacific National Exhibition Grounds.
